DSMA-0293 NCBO Intermediate Algebra Topics

The course includes an in-depth study and application of relations and functions, inequalities, algebraic expressions and equations (absolute value, polynomial, radical, rational), with a special emphasis on linear and quadratic expressions and equations. This course will assist the student in developing the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills necessary for college level mathematics courses. This course is required for students who have not achieved a passing score on the state mandated placement examination. Students must be enrolled in a College Algebra Course (MATH 1414) concurrently. Prerequisite: TSIA2 Diagnostic Score of 5 or 6 or successful completion of DSMA 0300/DSMA 0100. Co-requisite: MATH 1414.
