PSYT-2345 Principles of Behavior Management and Modification

An analysis of behavior management and cognitive theories and techniques with emphasis on their applications. Topics covered include basic principles of behavior and behavior change, procedures to establish new behaviors, and procedures to increase desirable behaviors and decrease undesirable behaviors. Genetic, cultural, environmental, and social factors will be considered, as well as predisposing factors, perceptions, and prior learning. Recommended prerequisite: PSYC-2301.
