COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic is caused by a highly contagious virus and can cause severe acute respiratory distress in those who become infected. Symptoms include initial flu-like symptoms such as fever, coughing, breathing difficulties, fatigue and myalgia. The incubation period can be 1 to 14 days. Prevention tips include avoiding close contact with sick individuals, frequent hand-washing and other good hygiene practices, and social distancing. If a student thinks he/she is infected, please immediately see a doctor, get tested, adhere to self-isolation practices for at least 14 days and obtain doctor’s permission before returning to classes. Students should not attend face-to-face classes or be on campus. Please report your condition to the Director of Student Life or Dean for Student Success and Persistence.
