Paralegal/Legal Assistant
The Paralegal/Legal Assistant 2-year program is designed primarily for persons who seek full or part-time employment working as a paralegal. This curriculum also serves students who are exploring their interest in law-related careers, including becoming a lawyer. This 2-year curriculum culminates into an Associate of Applied Science Degree. The Paralegal Program also offers a one-year certificate of completion that can be done alone or in conjunction with the associate’s degree program. The certificate of completion is designed to introduce students to the legal field and possibly help them get their “foot in the door” in working at a law firm as a receptionist or similar. The courses taken for the certificate of completion directly transfer into the associate’s degree program.
