Coding for Health Professionals (CFHP) Occupational Skills Award (OSA) Admission Policy
In addition to meeting the general admission requirements of CTC, the Office Technology
Department requires prospective students to submit the following documents to
Office.Technology@ctcd.edu:
- unofficial copies of the applicant’s college and university transcripts and medical
certifications/licensures.
- two professional references that detail duties and responsibilities or two work appraisals
from a direct supervisor that demonstrate one year of full-time or two years of part-time
employment as a health professional in the two calendar years prior to admission.
The work experience requirement for CFHP OSA must be met before entry into the program.
Prospective students who do not meet the requirement should enroll in OT’s Medical Coding and
Billing certificate or associate degree program.
Additional Information
- Classes should be taken in the order in which they appear on the plan.
- Prior to registration for AAPC’s Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam, students must
show proof of purchase for AAPC membership and study guide.
